When did the use of political slogans become prevalent on tank turrets.

There are decal sheets for Red Army tanks in the Revolution and Civil War with slogans.
They go back to the very beginning of the Soviet Union. After the disastrous first days of Barbarossa everything was tried to raise morale and the slogans and names started again. Often whole units were paid for through prescription and had the names and organizations of the contributors.
