It certainly shouldn't take long to bring to market as it has already been released some time back by Platz in their Girls Und Panzer range, admittedly with fictitious markings.

Oh boy you can see the distortion of those soft, rubbery tracks! Otherwise cool. Interesting variant.

egg sacked lee!(exactly) For me that is even the reason to not use Friuls as their track runs tend to have a curl in them (not always as bad) and that is also visually discernable. If I can I use masterclub or modelkasten etc.

Now that AFV Club have released the mk.1 and 3, I hope that they won't stop there and do several later (than mk.5) versions too ..

Did the Centurion Mk.1s deployed to Germany in 1945, including "Sheila", not have a narrower original track?
Are we behind the eight ball already with accuracy issues with this kit?

Those sent to Germany (9 of them) were the A41 prototypes and those had the 20 inch tracks.
The A41 also had a different centre suspension unit.
The Mk I (or A41* ) came afterwards and had the wider tracks.
Information gleaned from Accurate Armours descriptions of their conversion sets for the A41 and the Mk I respectively.

Thanks Robin...so was "Sheila" a Mk.1 or actually an A41?
I thought that "Sheila" was one of the prototypes sent to Germany in 1945. That then would make it an A41 and it should have the 20" tracks, yes/no?

Sheila (T352417) is indeed an A41 prototype with the Polsteen coaxial gun and had the narrower tracks.

Jason earns 5 (five) brownie points for spotting the incorrect marking alternative
I wonder if there are other marking options in the box ....
It will be interesting to see the complete kit, especially to confirm that it also contains
the Besa coax and not only the Polsten. (Polsten -> A41, Mk I had Besa ...)
cheers / Robin

I wonder if T352416 has had wider tracks mounted after the trials period ...
Maybe the kit from AFV-Club was inspired by T352416 at Bovington.
Two of the pictures show a gun travel lock which is not present on the News-images

I have the earlier release and it is a beautifully molded kit. Unfortunately if they haven't changed it for this release, they depicted the short hulled rear unchanged from the earlier kits. Those didn't come until the Mk.3's (maybe the late Mk.2's, it's hard to tell for sure). Accurate Armor has a conversion set molded but it does contain the turret as well.

Another great kit to add to the stash. Wonder how hard it will be to backdate the kit to the A41 prototypes without spending a fortune...

Honestly, with the exception of the tracks it's not a lot of scratchbuilding to bring it to that prototype status. Or spend 65 pounds. . . https://accurate-armour.com/aa-products/135th-conversion-sets/c096
