Hi. What are the accurate colours that a 2cm Flakvierling 38 seat should be painted? Was the seat red brown/black (ie padded) and was the backrest padded or unpadded and what colour? If there were variations then I'd prefer information about the tamiya versions ( which I'm more likely to build). In the past I've usually painted the seat red brown and the backrest in the vehicle colour (ie unpadded). I've seen different interpretations from other modellers but would like to know for sure. Thanks.

Unlike the 2cm flak 30/38 single barrel which had padded
seats, the 2cm flakvierling had bakelite seats and metal
back rest so a red/brown/black which simulates the color
of bakelite would be appropriate. Paint the backrest
vehicle color.

Thats great, thanks very much. So all these years painting Wirbelwinds and Sd.kfz. 7/1 halftracks ive been doing it wrong. Thanks for the clarity. Much appreciated. Neil
