These were used on the west, Italian and eastern front,
They came like this or on a wooden two story construction and encased in reinforced concrete (steel box version ) .
Panther turrets were converted into bunkers ever since late 1943.
Some were standard Panther tank turrets, and others where modified .
The modified turret roof was reinforced to 40 mm (this one )

Ammunition was stored around the turret basket.
The lower part of the box was a crew compartment with bunks, it also had a small stove , electrical generator, and powered by a small engine .

I could have kept the Panther type D turret(dragon) as it was ......but i was in the right modeling building mood so i had to remodeled the turret as well.
its done for 98 %.

Nice work, always found fixed turret fortifications interesting. Could make a cool cut-away diorama too.
