I plan to build this later and got the donor kit, Eduard exterior and interior kits, the Panzer Art wheels, BD dump body and "standard" 2 crew members for Christmas and birthday.
My question is; did the HET dump regularly carry a second crew member in rear-area activities?
My gut tells me yes, but Id love to know the facts.
Thanks guys!

M1070 Dump truck is a conversion made by a surplus firm. It never served with the US Forces. Sometimes BD sells kits that are work of fiction.

As Hans-Hermann said, it unfortunately was never an actual fielded military vehicle. There are a few examples that were/are aftermarket conversions by civilian surplus companies.

Just a few examples of conversions...

Here's the inspiration for Black Dog release. It's fitted with a Rowe dump body :

Would be interesting if you have a Deere LC230 to load it. Hmmm... we definitly need more construction equipment, Excavators, loaders, small dozers...

Thanks for clearing that up. Oh well, I suppose a transporter being loaded is on the cards, to accompany a loaded one on the road.
That or a second HET gun truck.
