Im looking to do a current peacetime Challenger II
using both Tamiya's desertized Challenger II and Trumpeter's Challenger II with the zig zag side skirts
my question is are there visable mounting points on the turret side for the applique armor and are the 2 auxiliary fuel drums on the hull rear?

You could also look at the option doing some extra detailing to the Trumpeter kit. I don't know if the parts in the set could also be used on the Tamiya kit to dial it down to a standard Challenger 2.

Upgraded road wheels are also something to consider if you want a current Challenger 2.

Nice wheels - but they are missing a vital piece of kit (2015 onwards).

Nick - I'll upload some images to my Imgur account over the next couple of days and post a link here. I had the chance to go over a CR2 back 2015. It had been pulled off a live-firing exercise for us to photograph, so it's about as 'clean' as you're likely to find.

The Tank Museum has just released a 2 part video on Challenger 2 which is well worth a look.

They're very helpful John - I hope I'm not asking too much by enquiring if you were able to take a similar set of pictures of the CHARRV parked in the background ?

Don't mean to hijack the post or send it off on a tangent...just read an article about the 'new' Cr2 Streetfighter with pics of it in Berlin Bde camo. Does anyone have any back story on what has been developed to bring the tank up to this current Urban spec?
