Well, this enthusiast is going to look into getting a copy of this one based solely on how great the Tiger 1 manual was for details that the big-name books either buried -or didn't mention.

I am a fan of the Haynes Manuals, which, depending on the author vary from the merely "good" to excellent.I have this book and Mark Healy does himself a disservice when he says the book is simply a guide, as it is much more than that, as are his other Manuals in the series on the Panther and the T-34. I also have some of the other books he suggests as further reading, and quite frankly from a modellers perspective they add little to the information contained here.

I agree that as a modeller this book ticks all of my boxes.

I would also like to thank you for taking the time to reply as it can be disheartening when the tumbleweeds are blowing.

Hi Darren just to let you know that the last time I was in the WORKS discount book shop in Newcastle and the Gateshead Metro they had the HAYNES PZ111, Bismark, Lancaster, British first Tank, Sopwith Camel, and German Infantryman all at £5. As pointed out they are a very good resource and at this price excellent value. They probably also stock other titles .

I have seen older titles sold in the works at very low prices and thanks for pointing that out. I have picked up a few of the titles from there myself; the ones on the Buccaneer, F14, and Stuka are great books.

No problem Darren. Always pleased to comment when I have something constructive to say. I would add that it is not just the older titles that were available in the Works. I saw the T34 manual there less than 6 months after it was published, although they tend not to hang around, and will not always re-appear
