I don't see a point where the airhose is connected. or was it strictly for "on-board" air to power something?

Pipe in upper right corner looks like a possible connection point, I think it is nr 32 in the parts diagram


The b&w image on the instruction sheet shows the connection point facing the camera with the cover plug (part nr 39) in place
