Very nice. It figures it would be realeased shortly after I collect all the Italeri parts, a 3D printed flotation collar, a Black Dog interior and the AFV M109A2 kit. It should be nice though.

Gino,
Thanks for taking one for the team then! Not the first time either IIRC. You're right, it should be a nice one.

Yup, it seems to be a trend, esp. as of late. I just collected all the extra parts to build an M920 MET and Trumpeter just announced one in their upcoming catalogue. At the rate they release kits though, I still have a few years to build it before they actually release theirs.

M109 L23 is the typical version for the Vietnam War era, right?
Not too knowledgeable on the M109 but Wikipedia seem to say it’s so.

You can use that interior with your M109A2, as it is not correct for M109 anyway. Significant changes are required to make it suitable for M109 and good references are difficult to find...

Yup, tracking all. It is not really that hard to backdate it to an M109 interior though. Check out the Boresight Mag from Jan/Feb '15. It has a whole build article on an M109 w/interior (mislabeled M109A2).

I'm not AMPS member (anymore), so I have no access to Boresight.

Great to see an early M109 released at the same time that the latest version hits the market from Panda. So many options...

The armor around the commander's cupola looks similar to the Okinawa design M 113 armor.

cheers,

Hello Gino, it’s good to see a familiar name since I’m new to this Forum.
