Nice, but HobbyBoss already makes one. Something not already made would have been more awesome.

Not a big Tamiya fan, but it looks like a really good price at under USD $22 - of course, I don't know what their shipping is like. Typical crappy tracks - might have been better with L & L tracks. Commander figure is pretty nice, but would have been a better selling point if it had been painted better!

I think you'll find they are link and length tracks if the description is anything to go by and people bother to read it

Collectively if this is not a rebox of some other manufacturer's productisn't this good news as the Hobby Boss kit was rumored to be significantly undersized?

Considering the mention od slide molding and link and length tracks, it sounds like a new tool Tamiya effort. I'll probably build one just for the fun of painting the whacky French camo.

Probably be an easier build, if you read the review of the HB kit on PMMS.

Here's a video of the Tamiya kit being built. The tracks are link and length:

I've dealt with Hobbysearch a number of times. Shipping is not bad. About $13 - $14 , with tracking and insurance. I'm in Nevada. But it seems the shipping is the same regardless of destination. My only grumble is shipping time. I'm waiting on one I ordered first week of Jan. (Looks of things I might get it in about a week.) Most of the lag is customs and USPS.

Did the Vichy used these in North Africa? Be neat to display with my Torch M4A1 if they did .. and
I can find paint and marking info.

I believe they did. And if I remember correctly, they fought either US M5's or M5A1. I would like to build these models as Torch adversaries.
Take care,

WHO said that?

WHERE was that said?

WHY did you think that person was credible?

Don't get your panties in a bunch! Terry Ashley states there are some MINOR dimensional discrepancies:

I think it was an article by Steve Zaloga or Mark Bannerman in the now defunct Military Modeling Magazine that used to Heller kit instead due to dimensional claim. Yes I consider both to be reliable

Steven Zaloga did one in Italian service on Sicily.
