Help please.
I have one of these coming:
https://www.scalemates.com/kits/tiger-model-4612-t-90ms-mbt--999574
I thought this paint scheme was more interesting than the sole option offered by the kit:
https://www.armyrecognition.com/russia_russian_army_tank_heavy_armoured_vehicles_u/t-90ms_main_battle_tank_technical_data_sheet_pictures_video.html
Can the model be made with the above (first picture) camo and still be accurate?
Are there any external differences for example?
If anyone has a three view drawing of that scheme that would help as well please.

If you want your model to be accurate, then the answer is no.

There were more than one T-90MS demo vehicle, the kit you have coming is good for the earlier models / earlier schemes, but NOT for the subsequent demo tanks.

Later demo vehicles were upgraded and there are several external differences (check the turret side armour blocks in particular) and other details (lights guards / clusters, remote MG armour, APU etc) and receive new paint schemes.

For the paint scheme you want to go for you would need this kit :
https://www.scalemates.com/fr/kits/tiger-model-4610-t-90ms-mbt--1123385

A simple google search will provide enough reference photos. Just a matter of taking the time to study the images.

Be aware that there are many paint schemes variations depending on the timeframe / vehicles. Going off memory there are at least two different patterns for the soft edge paint schemes and for the hard edge paint schemes.

Thank you If the model is as good as the reviews I have seen I will buy the 4610 one as well.
If you know of a different camo scheme for the one that's on the way please tell me.
Are these OK for masking?:

because they are going to give a hard edge rather than looks IRL soft edges?

I had the same dilema a while back. I knew that the model was not a 100% accurate for that camo scheme, but I went with it anyway. here is the link to my build:

Tiger Model Cat. num. 4610 will be perfect for the miniatures of the tank from the bottom picture.
