I have just got a Takom Chieftain Mk10 and wanted to have a suitable crew aboard so it looked something like this:

Suggestions please for appropriate figures.

Valkyrie has this set for the 70s-80s era with the older style helmets. In case they're not correct for '89, you can always use the heads with the berets:

Hi Colin,
I think these figures might be too early for your requirements?

You could ask on a few of the forums or make a new thread and ask people if they have an unused figure from the Tamiya Challenger 1 kit as that has the correct helmet for 1989.
it also wasnt unheard of for some people to use a PRB or older headsets and use them under a Mk6 helmet, I did.

They seem like the right option, correct helmet for that time, and to most crews in the field would be in a DPM jacket/smock or parka over denims unless they were in full combats. For instance, when in Germany on MBT, we would wear denims on exercise or normal tank park routine in camp, but on exercise, as I said above , we would have a smock or jacket on over the top - whereas when we moved back to UK and went to full Recce, we would only wear denims in camp and on exercise, it was full DPM until endex.
