I am planning a small scene using figures from Assault Models

A big project... looking forward to seeing it in progress.

How good are the Shapeways products? I'm still hoping Legend would take those sets from Peter Samofalov and make a GMV resin conversion. Wishful thinking...

Thanks! Actually I was more thinking about the quality of the print... I got Clevis hooks by Peter from Shapeways and it took quite some work to get rid of the printing imperfections... so I was reluctant to get anything from Shapeways after that experience.

Hi Maki,
I'm going to follow your build.

I have completed a similar model a few months ago (I will post some pictures in a separate thread).

I have used Live Resin stuff, that was, as always, of outstanding quality, and I have 3D designed some parts, then printed at Shapeways.

I believe that Peter's roof is not of the correct shape for an M1113, it looks a lot like the roof of an M1151/1165.
For my model I have used the Tamiya roof.

For the rear cargo armor plates I thought it wasn't worth the money to get a 3D printed item, I have just used plasticard.

If the wheels are just temporarily in place for the photo session then you can ignore the rest of this comment.
BUT if you have them glued on:
Please check the alignment of the right rear wheel before continuing with the build.

Wow, looks wonderful! The way all the aftermarket kits meshed together to create one vehicle is really stellar.

I've noticed that you painted and weathered the vehicle and the figures in such a way that they blend into the groundwork as nearly perfect camouflage. That is artistic skill in itself ! Great job!

Somehow I managed to miss it as well, even after all these months.
I like it. I'm going to assume it's not so much a combat scene, but more of a "Hey - let's pull over here and shoot some s*** up!" situation. Totally in character for SF types.
Is the guy at the right rear door wearing an old DCU rain jacket? If so, also in character. If not, still in character because it sure doesn't look to be standard issue.

Rob- You are 100% right about the subject of the scenę. The jacket was a mystery to me and therefore the colors may be incorrect. I am most satisfied with the camouflage of the vehicle and figures. They fit the terrain
