Has anyone built any of the Hobby Boss Pershings? Doesn't matter which one. How were they quality wise? Like Dragon or like Tamiya or something else? And if anyone has built the Takom M46 I'd like first hand opinions on the kit.
I've built just about everything else over the years but never a Pershing or M46 and I've never built a Hobby Boss kit. So it's probably time to do so.

I have built the M26A1 and am working on the M26 from HB. They are pretty good kits (there is always room for improvement). The working suspension is easier to be glued in place in a fixed position.
The kit provides rubber band tracks that can be glued in place with ordinary plastic cement. I used them in my M26A1 build but will replace them in the M26 with AFV Club after market ones.
Here is a link to my M26A1 build where there are also comments on the corrections needed:

Thanks for the info. Nice build and I would go with aftermarket tracks too. I think I'll go ahead and get one and the super perishing pilot #1. It's an oddball tank and I like those.

I have in stash a HB Super Pershing - and it is a nice and cheap kit. I think is comparatable with tamiya, but have engine and was cheaper. And HB make a up-armored Super Pershing, Tamiya not. Standard Pershing i havenīt but i think it is nice a good buildable kit.
