Hallo guys!
I get the idea for this from the book Building dioramas from Chris Mrosko… I chaged it a little bit and i Will present the build here.
I needed some achitectural elements, and first i tried to do some molds from balsa... but it didnt work out... It was nearly impossible to demould theme and the were not precise...
At work i asced the CNC guys nicely… ok, lets be honest, I am their boss and in 15 min the mould positive from Aluminium was ready. So i made my first silicone mould withowt any problems...
I mixed some Herculite 2 plaster, poured the thing et voila… I use a vibrating table to avoid air bubbles
I needed a walking section so i made one from elements from plaster out of Diorama debries moulds...
The work goes on with the frame... (5mm balsa). evrything is tested for fitting only put togeather with masking tape... for 45deg cutting and sanding i use my home made device...

I upgraded the frame for the 2nd level… i used 4mm balsa because i run out of 5mm
I started the facade… i used blue foam from Ak-Interactive and i must say that is money well spend… it carves verry nicely… other home foams dnt work so well
I made a texture roll. small cat litter rocks randomly glued on a cutboard roll, impregnated with thined white glue, and sanded of picks…
For the arcades i printed a 1:1 drawing and glued it doun on 1mm cartbord. i cut out the thing and added some texture with reparature stucco thined with white glue, applied with stiff brush
From the first mould i made plaster pieces for the top of the facade… i glued on some fine earth (like the texture roll) and made a new mould… here are the results...

This is a very precise approach to structure facade building. I'm looking forward to how this all looks put together.

I made another mould for the whole walking section an I made a plaster copy…
Than I reduced the size in the mould with some playdoh-plasteline and made another small copy for the upper flor...
The upper flor was asembled with a resin cobblestone piece, a plaster piece and some stuff from Miniart…
Thanks for the compliments… If you have other questions dont hasitate to ask…
Stay tuned...
