Dear All!
I´m building Pandas 1/35 M1 and M1IP. In the instructions Panda recommends Green FS34102. After painting the M1 I´m not very pleased with the color. Looking through Tankograd American Special No 3023 M1/IPM1 Abrams I find the color way to green compared to the more "greyish" colors (between 1982-1987) on the pictures in Tankograd.
Could anyone give me some guidance? Thanks in advance!
/Freddy

I believe the early M1 were painted FS 34079.
Based on your wanting a more greyish tone, this is likely a colour more to your liking

Forest Green is correct. I remember it written on the cans.

The base color for the MERDC 4-color scheme was FS34079 Forest Green. By the 1980's, many units no longer applied the three additional colors, and left their equipment in the base color.
In the late 80's, the presesnt 3-color scheme was introduced, and the toxic nature of the CARC paints meant that they were applied at depot level to all vehicles.
