Yes, I'm thinking "Vietnam's Vietnam" again. And the T-34/85 tanks modernized with the starfish wheels seem emblematic of the NVA, though those tanks were sent to Africa as well.

By the end of the Easter invasion most of the Armor was of Chinese origin, Type 54s, 59s, 63, there were still some PT-76s ! The NVA did have A few T-34/85s to equip A Company.
and they were used in combat. I have seen film of the armor sent, but have not seen that the T-34s were used by then !

The only T34's I know of where used just south of the DMZ, and there are photos of some knocked out ones. In the Cambodian area there were a few ZSU 57's and T59 / T54's. It'd be a real pain to drive any tank from the Pass to Cambodia. For sure you are not driving one down Highway One! The land scape is the deciding factor there.
