Need a few crew figures for my TPZ Fuchs Build.
Modern German Individual Soldiers; uniforms & gear, ppe, etc. not my wheelhouse...


Time frame and Location: A Stan 2003-2006ish.
Few photos I dug up for discussion purposes.

I know there is both a Woodland & Desert Flecktarn Pattern - which is more common in time noted above ?



I have seen Belt Style, Zip Vest, Full Mollie Rigs and Plate Carriers - thoughts ?

I have std. K-Pot USA helmets - acceptable swap for D.H. w/ little minor camo cover mods ?

And lastly, Armor Crew Headgear - look very similar to old Russian style (lil bit different padding and earphones, but that's minor to scratch. Anyone tried / seen that ?

Check out Dolp (white metal) or Valkyrie (resin) stuff.

Three vehicle crew and two infantry scouts.
The Meng Bundeswehr set has two AFV crew in temperate gear with helmets, and two in warm weather uniforms suitable for summer in Afghanistan.

Thanks guys.

The problem I'm have is what correct for the early AStan time frame. For example most of the Dolp figures say 2010, 2013, 2016. Are they really appropriate for 2003?

Similar to painting a US figure in Woodland camo but driving a MRAP...

Concerning camo you hould use troppentarn (the desert one). Concerning equipment, no molle at that time period. They started using plate carriers and de IDZ rig arround 2010 as far as I recall

Thanks for all the help guys.

Decided to can the figures for the Fuchs.

Hatch(s) are molded shut w/ mounting rings as one piece.

I could scratch all that but just not feeling that kind of commitment for this build. Straight out of the box...

I had several German friends at Camp Warehouse before we went to Orgun to advise the ANA in combat operations. The photo below shows me with them. You can see exactly what was being worn then. This would have been in December 2002. The green one was more prevalent. I have photos at home showing us shooting together as well. Probably after the beer...



The desert one looks the same as what they wore in Hawaii two years ago when I worked with them and the Aussies. Damn I'm glad I speak German.



Dutch Sniper Team during same time frame if anyone is interested.

The Danes had Tuborg Black and Tuborg Gold. Beer was free during blue light specials. They turned the blue light on every time I came in with members of my team.
