So This is my 99% done M51. I was given a Tamiya kit a few years ago that was less the tracks,, and I added a Legend 1973 update kit, along with stowage from Value Gear.
I recently read "Heights of Courage" by Avigdor Kahalani, and while he is in a Centurion, he makes brief mention of a unit to his right using "Shermans" with searchlights that offered support in the fight at the Vale of Tears, and this is what I tried to show in this build, basically a tank that had been thru quite a few days of very hard fighting.
Paint is Vallejo Air, decals are from Star, and the other weathering is a combo of dry-brushing, washes, and use of pastels. Plan is to build a ground cover base to mount it, and finish out the last itty bitty bit of blending. Hope you like it.
