I see Vallejo makes this in their air series . (A) How does that work for regular brush? And (B) Anybody else make a Light Purple Brown?

‘Vallejo Air’ isn’t meant to, and doesn’t really hand-brush very well. However, I have experienced some useful results upon experimentation. Since I mostly use ‘Vallejo Model Color’ when brush-painting figures, I tend to rely on a little mixology in order to achieve a specific color. 🎨 HTH.

I have used ModelAir successfully in painting 3 tone camo on 1:72 aircraft using a brush
but it required 2-3 coats to fully cover...results were excellant but time consuming.
ModelAir is best when applied by airbrush on larger areas.

I stumbled into an AK set that has the purple brown in it (and I am probably gonna need some other North Africa colors , sooo… However, to futher muddy the waters here... I am planning an A10 cruiser in Greece. Color plate I saw has a scheme of Portland stone and purple brown. (Markings are 2nd Armored Div. and blue circle with HQ, which is squadron HQ, 2nd squadron, 2nd Regt. But who was 2nd senior regt? 3RTR ?) However, according to Mr. Starmer the purple brown was only used for the Sudan area. I read somewhere Portland and slate?

The Bronco kit has markings for A ,B and C Squadrons of 3rd RTR, and the colour schemes are all stated to be Light Stone and Brown SCC 2

Update on BCS 49. AK has it in their laquer line. As for the SCC 2 in the Balkans, I question that. As far as I know SCC2 didn't come in until late 41 by which time any surviving British armor there would have been wearing panzer grey.
