Does anyone make a machine gun conversion mount for the Syrian panzer IV
I have the Tamiya kit, just looking for a machine gun mount conversion, if one is made

MR Modellbau has a Syrian PzIV conversion (MR-35174) that includes the cupola, mount and DShK, along with all the extra stowage boxes and such that the Syrian vehicles had. I highly recommend this set if you are building one as it does pretty much allow you to build any variation of stowage seen on the Syrian vehicles. IPMS USA has review on their site.
There is also one in the Dragon Syrian PzIV kit of course - maybe DragonCares will see the parts?

The machine gun used on the syrian Panzer IVs should propably be the italian Breda-Safat rather than the soviet DSHK. One of the very few pictures showing a syrian Panzer IV with the AAMG mounted show this, as can be seen on the picture below. FC Model Trend has this gun in 1/35 btw.

The mount used on the T—34/85 is very different from the one used on the Pzkpfw IV.

Any hi-res photos? Looks like a not all that hard afternoon project. I myself have been wanting to do this for years. Dragon does't exactly have the best reputation...

From past experience I wouldn't count on buying parts from Dragon Care!

Great video of the PzIVs and StuGs (plus the T-34/85s, which don't carry the cupola MG mount). As you noted above, the PzIVs are carrying the Breda Sufat MG, but interesting that the StuGs have the twin ammo boxes mounted, the PzIVs have none.

Can the color plates in books like Concord Publication be trusted
I found a color plate in Tank Battles of the Mid-east wars by Concord Publication that shows a Panzer 4H with a T-34/85 AA machine gun mount
If accurate I'm going to use the mg mount in a old Egyptian/Syrian conversion set
