Hi! My name is Miguel, this is my first WW2 model build in years, a friend of mine presented me this forum and i decided to give it a try and show it to you. The idea is to use the Wirbelwind in a diorama of the surroudings of a church, in a winter ambientation.

So, here go the steps i followed

First of all i aplied a main coat of Dunkelgelb to all the tank:

Then i did like a "mockup" for the chipping

After this, i applied a coat of chipping fluid and painted the camo with olivgrun and rotbraun

(Here you can see the effect of the chipping fluid)

And then i continued painting the details and decided to go for the weathering:

After all that, the result is this:

I hope you like it!

Hi Miguel!

As I told you during the wip, it's a great work. I'm whising to see it on the diorama you're working on.

Regards!!

Nice paintjob, although the chipping might be somewhat to heavy. These vehicles didn't get much time tot grow old on the battlefield.

This Wirbelwindkit was my first armoured kit ever about 25 years ago, nostalgia!

Looking forward to your next posts!

I have only just noticed but may be too late but the tracks are on backwards.

Hi Miguel,
Welcome back to the hobby and site!

It's always good to finish a kit, and yours looks good. I think also the chipping is a bit overdone, and mud on the running gear would benefit from a few more shades of brown.

Anyway, look forward to see the diorama soon

Thanks to you all for the feedback!

The main idea was to make the tank more chipped than most of the Wirbelwinds that i've seen, it's truly heavy chipped, but i really liked it like that (i have to control myself with the chipping )

Then, for the mud, this is the "first layer", i want to apply wet effects and all that stuff when i put it in the dio, to blend it on the scenery.

And the tracks can be changed from position, these are the ones that come with the kit and aren't glued to the tracks

Thanks again for all the feedback!

Do it the way YOU like it: that's the name of the game.

What did you use for mud on the running gear?
