As I've been working my way down the "must buy list" I've reached the IDF portion so I gotta make a choice for the Magach 6B. AFV club or Meng?
Both look great, one is $20 more than the other.
But is there a difference between the two?

What vehicle do you want to make? Magach 6B, Magach 6B Gal or Magach 6B Gal Batash?

The AFV Club kit was used in the 1982 Lebanon war. The Meng kit was introduced after that.

Magach 6B Gal.
Meng is more accurate compared to the AFV Club kit and it is cheaper by almost a 1/4 of the AFV Club kit price. Also somewhat easier to build.
I dont like that AFV includes those resin sprockets, I would like to see them closely because from a video presentation I saw they looked as if they had the wrong shape. Also the AFv Club needs a corrected driver's hatch (the Meng kit got it correct).

AFV club has also a Magach 6B Gal , i have both of them , and build them both. The AFV club uses resin parts for the Gal , but this is in my opinion the finer detailted , when you want a easyer build you should go for the Meng .
Both are Great kits .

The Houston Armor Club blog has 2 build logs going on the Meng & Academy Gal Batash kits.

Going with the Ment kit. It's a bit more expensive tho.

Meng kits have workable individuals tracks links, AFV no. For me it's important.
I have the AFV Club Magach 6B early and i had to buy the tracks set from them. Second "low" with AFV kit is the fact that you have to sand the turret and hull for a more in scale effect. This said i must add that AFV kit is a very nice kit too (like most of their kits).
