Has anyone seen the new parts in it. Are they on seperate sprues or attached to the old ones.

Tamiya M47???
Another Italeri repop with extras. However, it appears Tamiya made some updates outside of the usual add extra sprues as with other Italeri troops.

Hi;
This M-47 is almost as old as I am !!!!!
its just the old Iti; kit. And was even Boxed by Tester !
Now I have built this kit way back when, and speculated as to its scale of 1/35 which to me was closer to 1/32nd !
On the plus side; They gave you the option of Three different Muzzel Brakes and A very basic Engine.
CHEERS; MIKE.

The Italeri kit is generally accurate and remains the top M-47 in the market.
Takom's new kit may be more sophisticated and detailed but has more accuracy issues than Italeri's.

Get the mantlet cover by D.E.F. Models...light years ahead of everything else with PE to boot.

The new dust cover is a bit "puffy" for my liking, and the turret side rails are wrong for German tanks (they had the cluster of individual grabs), but the tracks being in something other than Italeri's stiff unbending vinyl might make this a good choice - if the $62 sticker price is reduced in half. Still better than the Takom kit...
