Does anyone know where I can find some pictures of the interior of the firing station for the M730A1 Chaparral air defense system? It went out of service in the early 90s.

TIA!

No photos that I know of but a diagram or two in the verlinden war machines book on the subject. Let me know if you'd like a photo of them.

What I'm really needing to know is what color the interior is. If the diagrams will give any indications of that then I'll greatly appreciate it.

Thanks much!

No pics to prove it, but the couple I was inside were the same forest green as on the exterior as part of 3-tone NATO camo.

There is one at the Fort Sill ADA museum. I think it was sand colored. One of Armorama's very own, Cobrahistorian is the director there. Perhaps he'll see this and respond.

From a quick look into Verlinden Warmaschine book. The Vehicle pictured is NATO falge with a MERDC launcher. Interior is overall OD. Seat is darkgreen and the instruments/screen are either white or seafoam green(hard to tell from the pics).

Unfortunately that has yielded people unwittingly posting photos of 3D images superimposed over actual backgrounds. Not always the best bet.
