I was digging through some old boxes and found an old M60 kit I built way back in the 1980s. I was amazed that the kit survived several moves from Germany to Kentucky to Texas to Alabama to New Jersey to Massachusetts with relatively minor damage. It was nestled in shredded paper and only a few parts were loose.
This kit was the original Tamiya M60A1 and I used the Verlinden M48/M60 update set. I believe I used the tracks from the M247 Sgt. York. I think this was one of the first times I ever used Verlinden products and resin/PE. I attempted to make a non-TTS M60A3.

Love that shiny green paint Rob. Always good to revisit some old friends on occassion. My Mom still has the first kit I ever airbrushed some 27 years ago. The old Testors M-47. It was my first effort with the Paasche VL double action brush....which I still have and use! Thanks for sharing "Q"

I've still got my collection of Fujimi 48th scale German Tanks that I built i the mid 70's. They 've taken a beating over the years with all the moving I did in the 80's. They were oob and at a bit of a distance still look remerkably good. Most were airbrushed with hand done camoflauge added.
