Looking for photos of the interior of an Ausie Pinzgauer 6x6

Hi! I'm not sure what you are actually looking for when you say "Ausie Pinzgauer 6x6"...

BUT... IF you are looking for interior shots of Pinzgauer 710 (4x4) and 712 (6x6) - specially of the driver's compartments, you can find a lot by Googling "Steyr Daimler Puch Pinzgauer 712M".

All 4x4 and 6x6 Pinz built between 1971 and 1986 ("gen 1" gasoline powered models 710 and 712) look very similar in the driver's compartment. Cargo compartments included hard-top van (radio and ambulance versions), flat-bed load carrier, and soft-top cargo / personnel.

After 1986, a new diesel engine was fitted, and a few other changes made to vehicle width, transmission, and some other details. The post- 86 "Gen 2" Pinz 4x4 and 6x6 also mirrored one-another inside, but did differ a bit in the interior from the pre-86 models. Post-86 Pinz were renamed as the 716 (4x4) and 718 (6x6) models, and can be Googled as such.

The interiors - in fact, the entire truck of a given year - was virtually identical in almost every respect regardless of which country it served in (many smaller armies).

So, it mostly depends on what years - 1971 - 1986 early, or 1986 later - 2000 - you are looking for.

I happen to be the proud owner of a 1975 710-m soft-top radio car.



PS: Most of the Pinz seen in the USA (maybe 625 or so) are ex-military surplus vehicles from Switzerland and date from 1971 - 1975. Somewhere between 0 and perhaps 10 civilian Pinz were imported into and sold in the USA (because they were gawd-awful expensive and later deemed unable to meet certain US automotive standards). So pictures of US Pinz will "all" be of the pre-1986 models.
