The tankers look very nice! Definitely helps to use the 3D printing technology. Putting in my wish list.

Nice, but IMO they need proper tanker boots with the leather straps. Nylon laced boots on tanks is no bueno.

Just checked my pics and tankers at Graf now wearing standard ACU boots. So the figures are correct.

Is "GI Jane" a sci-fi figure, or is that a real uniform?

It looks like she is supposed to be Special Ops; wearing Cyre Multi-cam pants w/the built in knee pads and a combat shirt, which is designed to be worn under a body armor vest.

Cyre Multicam pants.

Combat shirt.

She is in the typical 14 year old wet dream sculpt as opposed to an actual female soldier though.

The tankers are stunning in their realism; it is chilling just looking at their helmeted heads. GI Jane is just typical -as mentioned before- 14 year-old fantasy stuff. Whatever.

I see these figures are now available at Hobbyeasy, but are incredibly expensive at almost $100NZ for the two tankers! Ouch. Whats up with that?!

sadly, not so much now... she would not look out of place in a scene from Downtown America right now. There are images of civilians dressed like this, armed like this, in the news.

Kylie, these are 3D printed figures, not figures cast in resin. Just look at the printing quality, no imperfections that I could spot even in high magnification. Besides, no surface prep, no seam lines or air bubbles as with other resin figures. Altogether, it is a very high price, but the product is absolutely amazing.

Hopefully I'll have a chance to review these figures for Armorama.

Best,
Mario

Hi Mario, fully agree, these are amazing figures that come out at the top end of the market when compared to the likes of Live Resin, $20-25NZ also at hobbyeasy, and Assault Models, $26, for a single figure. That’s almost half price when compared to $46 for one by H3.

I think they’d increase their market share if they could lower the price a (big) fraction.

The best compromise would be to 3D print the master, and make a mold from that to cast much less expensive resin copies. Claims of imperfections, air bubbles, etc,. are irrelevant as there are many companies that produce cast figures that are free of those imperfections.

A lot of companies do that, 3D print and then make figure copies in resin. It is cheaper, but majority of companies have to outsource resin casting... meaning costs and lack of quality control. Although some companies work wonders in resin, most figures still have seam lines which become visible under a coat of primer.

By 3D printing their figures, H3 has the entire process under control. And the level of details on these figures cannot be matched in resin.

Although expensive, I'm sure these figures will sell really well.
