Hi all. This is what I’ve been working on lately. It’ a D9R propped on wooden blocks. This is the center piece for my latest diorama.

The diorama. It looks complete but it is not. But so far, things are looking good.

Things yet to do:

1. Overhead crane.

2. Building and painting the crane support, steel bracing.

3. Complete painting of a welder figure.

4. Filing down, building, and painting a mobil tool metal chester drawers.

5. More weathering on the ground surrounding the D9R.

6. Adding corrugated sidings at both ends of the steel bracing.

7. Adding lighting fixtures and smaller details on the sidings...

... And whatever comes that needs attention. So you see, Still need more work before it is complete.

Aha! At first I thought this is probably the best range of painting/weathering effects I’ve ever seen. But now I think it’s a real dozer & you’ve made some reasonably convincing 1:1 scale plastic men

WOW
You really had me fooled at the beginning.
I thought yea this is nice, some pictures of the D9 being rebuilt. It wasn't until later on I realized that this was the Diorama & kit. It looks so real, I.m amazed.
Regards.

Thanks Donald. Glad you were surprised. It shows, I've done a good enough job.

That is a tired looking Cat. Outstanding weathering on it and the other equipment. That pallet jack has a great 'used' look to it.

I'm friends with a family who have a heavy equipment business. They operate, repair and rebuild their own equipment in a large facility. Your work is absolutely amazingly accurate!! It has the right "feel" of an actual D9 rebuild.Well done!

Hi Charles,,

Wow! beautiful work as always - and really interesting subject interpretation. Torn down to the rails, and rebuild well underway. Thanks very much for posting!

cheers
