Is it ok for me to mix Tamiya brown with Revell flat white (both enamels)?

Didn't know Tamiya made enamel paints Shonen, are you sure about that? If they are both enamels then the best option is to try a couple of drops of each in a mix and apply it to a piece of scrap plastic. Sometimes even paints of a similar type will 'clot' or go lumpy when mixed together depending on the solvent used.

Really? We have them here in our country. Must be for Asian countries only.

I haven't heard of such a thing as Tamiya enamels. I think they're all acrylics. And acrylics and enamels don't mix. So try the mixed paint to a scrap piece of plastic so you won't ruin your model.

I'll post pics of it maybe this Tuesday. We have both acrylic and enamel type paints here.

Tamiya enamal hobby paints are listed on the Great model web site. So it appears that Tamiya does offer enamal paints.
How compatible the Tamiya enamal would would be with another paint brand, I don't Know. The only thing I can suggest is to try a small sample test batch.

It seems that you learn new thing everyday. There seems to be no change of seeing those paints in Finland, as they don't import Tamiya acrylics anymore, and guess why. EU regulations say that Tamiya acrylics are dangerous chemicals(!) and they get some kind of an extra import tariff. So, no one imports them and they get more and more expensive. Seems that enamels aren't dangerous! I really think EU has more important things to do than pick on innocent modelers!

We have Tamiya enamels here in our little back water. I have been experimenting with mixing Tamiya Enamel XF-64 red brown and Humbrol Enamel 100 Matt Red Brown to come up with the desirable red brown for the German cammo. The paints mix fine and go on the model fine, and with just a bit more tweaking and thinner, I reckon I'll have the right shade.

I think imports are still running but allegedly intra-EU transport requires specific containers (which are not required for Vallejos...)
However I managed to order a large quantity (12 jars) of Tamiya acrylics from the UK without any hassle. This makes me think there's a 50/50 chance for foul play from our very own ex-importer. PM me if you want details on the paints.
