Matt
When I get home tonight {friday} I'll check to make sure, but off the top of my head I think it was a dark Green. I could be wrong, I am by far no expert . After I get home I'll check the books and see. If I find anything different I'll get in touch.

often times the camo nets were table cloths cut up and painted with any paint they could find so there is no set pattern or color sceme for german camo netts.

Tough find - this is what I did find
http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=98137&AID=1556312&PID=1410068
I looked through my collection of 250 color WWII German photos and No images of nets
I saw a heavy use of natural tree limbs, grasses etc. You may want to go with a dark yellow/brown or a green base then weave in some branches on top. Just an idea
Sorry I couldn't do more.

Yo man, it doesn't matter wot colour the nets are! they just need to be a darkish colour of greeny brown. I only just a few days ago did some kraut nets. I mixed the gauze bandage in a mix of water, watercolour paint, ink, and wood glue. Shake it and let it sit for a while. I used green and brown water colour and sienna ink. Drape it and let dry. I know u weren't asking for tips... but i gave anyways. Listen, SHEP PAINE says that they just need to be of a dark colour! Anyways, if it's too light (which the first one was b4 i put ink in) just paint on some ink when it's wet in spots/ patterns so it soaks in. Not too much contrast though, it looks fake. Hope u see the light because i really don't think the original wermacht colours would stay anyways. PS i have some pics of an earlier attempt of camo net in my gallery - it's infront of my Nebelwerfer - its airbrushed enamel XF65 field grey and XF60 lines - don't do it this way because it's stiff and uses lots of paint. VERY BAD. but check it out for the colours if you're interested. (im not sure how well u can see it) so bye

hey guys thnx, slodder i appreciate your help, and coltm4, thnx for your tips, but i have decied to go with a dark brown, i used humbrol matt 23, i soak the nets in glue and water then drape it where everi want ovwer the tank then when its dries i take the off paint them so i dont get any on the tank, then when its dry i put them back into the glue and water solution and remould them onto the tank like i had before.
