was ever the 2 a match?. got an old academy version I wanna repaint and deck it out in markings I have on my WT Mk2B from isradecal thx

The Academy kit is a Mk. 2 not B variant IIRC. I think the B variant has the additional roof armor.
As for the color - Sinai Grey is the way to go. There are several options out there including Mig and such.

huh, thought it was a B, oh well. it does have the turret side armor, and later hull armor. either way, I have lifecolor's sangrey2 that I can use, and it's very close to IDF. would it mix well with revell's olive drab? it's a little too light to exctly match the ingame Merkava
