But I thought the WW2 tanker's helmet was still used in the Korean War? Certainly in the earlier years when Pershings were still used?

Ironically, I'm trying to find tanker figures for my Pershing tank, but summer ones. And it's damn impossible to find summer tanker figures other than for Vietnam.

I have seen several photos of tankers wearing the ww2 style tank helmets in Shermans, Chaffee's and Pershings...seems like they really were gone by the time of the first M46's arriving in country.

AC Models do a Pershing crew. Not exactly cheap but look nice.

I think they do a set of infantry riding on the Pershing as well.

They are US Army so not sure if there is any difference in clothing.

There were new radio and intercom sets issued along with the M46 that at first were incompatible with the old tanker's helmet. So some units adapted it to the helmet and others went to other headgear.

I have seen all kinds of pictures of tank crews in the 1950s.

Miniart makes US tankers that are in summer uniforms. Two are in HBTs that with a slight mod to the breast pocket become US Marines 1950.

Excepting tropical uniforms the actual cut and fit of US uniforms did not change much from 1945-1980. It was fabrication and color that changed. However the tropical uniforms are close to the 1950s combat uniform with its thigh pockets. It can even be modified into 1960s-70s greens with some work on the pockets.

If you're not willing to modify and improvise available figures to fit time periods where there little to no figures, then don't put crews in your model.

I've populated a pile of vehicles converted from available figures and if a builder like me can do a credible job anyone can.
