Friends,

after the RMG campaign closed on March 31st, it became quiet concerning the RMG projects that where started, but that wheren't finished by the end of the Campaign.

I'm wondering if some of you, who didn't make it to the finishing line in time, are still working on the RMG projects or that you have given up on it ? If there's some update to report, don't forget to share it with us.

I've got a final update for you, as far as my HQ in the Hartenstein cellars is concerned. A couple of weeks before the end of the campaign my project took a dive and hit the floor. Not too much damage was done, just a couple of details had to be repaired....but just a bit too muh to finish in time.

Yesterday I was drinking a cup of coffee while working on my cellar project and when I wanted to put the cup aside, I spilled some coffee on my project...... It reached the cellar floor and immediately soaked into the floor and the walls...... Now it's damaged !! After a lot of looking, thinking and looking again, I decided it was the end of the project....curtain closed.

After 6 months my Battle of Arnhem is over...... another one that went "A Bridge Too Far"......

I'll have another go it this project and I will redo from start when I'm up to it. Probably by the end of this year I'll have another attempt to do the trick.... When I do, I'll keep you guys posted.

Danny - when life gives you lemons make lemon aid - so - when life gives you coffee, make a new floor stain. You just stumbled on a new technique! We use coffee grounds for dirt and mud, why not stain the whole floor a consistant coffee color?
I know it won't be exactally how you wanted it - but at least its not effort out the window.

Surely all the ingenuity that came up with the idea can fix a coffee stain. Take a break and I'm sure that you will think of something. Good luck.

Allright.... I grabbed the project from the recylce bin and let it sit for a while..... I must admit that I feel like starting over this project in stead of trying to fix it.... but I'll let it sit for a while and see what my feeling tells me.

I'll keep you posted.
