Wow - that's a big diorama. I like the subject.
I would like to see more pastels and weathering, All that smoke and damage kicks up a lot of dust. The shell hits on the building appear to be a bit too 'round' in shape, I'd also like to see a few of them go all the way through. How about adding in some 'gear' in the sandbag position. The open area between the sandbags and the tanks needs a little bit of something, maybe some barbed wire or some debris from the building that was on the opposite side of the street.
One thing that you can add is window frames and debris from the windows.
This was a big undertaking for you and you've done things well. With a few touches it will really bring it to life a bit more.

Hello Sherminator and welcome to the sight. Great looking dio you got there. Lots of action. One little nit pick that I have is that the bricks showing through the plaster on the buildings seem to be in a uniform pattern. IMH opinion the need to be a little more random. Is this your first dio, If so you have quite a future ahead of you

Cool! I love the work on the tank and the figures! One nitty pick, the building doesn't look real to me. You can add some more detail like windows, rubble etc. that will make the buildings terrific.

Very nice diorama, there is a lot of activity going on there to capture ones attention. I agree with the others on tips to help so I wont comment on that but I beleive you can add a lot to this dio by simply dry brushing the stones in the walls and side walks to break up the uniform grey colors you have there. It wont take a lot of time and you will be pleased with the results. Once again I really like it. Cheers Kevin

I didn't catch if you said where this is taking place but the buildings look like they are in the Soviet Union. I say this because they are so plain and was Comunism so every thing was trying to be simple and equal. So maybe in Stalingrad. With you saying the Soviets strike back it would be good in Russia because the Germans dominated the start of the barbarossa campiaghn until mabout Stalingrad. If you do decide to put it in rusia maybe add some snow, but awesome dio. Congrats. :

I agree about the dust-you need more pastels, especially around the road wheels and figures boots. Also, more bullett strikes on the building exterior, some dents and dings on the vehicles, and less blood. Altogether, for your first dio, you've got a good start.

Overall looks like quite a huge project. I love dios with plenty of action.
Something about the exposed brick areas bother me. I think that they are too red and make the buildings look polka dotted. I am very interested in better pics of the T34 crushing the Kubelwagen. You may want to add some details such as roadsigns and lamposts on the streets, window planter boxes on the windows, maybe some propaganda posters and graffiti on the walls and a lot more rubble.
I am a little disappointed that a person with the name Sherminator started off with two T34s and not two Shermans. In the future I expect to see more Shermies!!! Just joking of course. We welcome all sorts of models to this site.

Nice response on my subject. I have read throw your notes and I think I understand all, (I’m not so good at English).
I have the dio in a shelf and it is a glass plate in the front, so if I would make some changes I have to take away the glass plate, and that can be tricky. I will think if I can take away the glass plate because you had a lot of good tip for me!
This dio was one of my first dio.
Kar98k you wrote that the dio maybe could take place in Stalingrad. No it can’t take place there because I have two T34/85 and the first T34/85 roll out of the factory in January 1944
And the Stalingrad battle was between September 42 – January 43.
But if I had T34/76 I had changes the dio name to Stalingrad.

I’m doing a new dio with a Sherman and some u.s. soldiers. It almost finished.

Some great stuff in there, well done, I rarely see a russian theme dio these days........Makes a nice change..........
but i agree on the buildings, i think it lets it down, especially after you spent so much time on everything else..........

Youre right. I should have noticed that. But does it have a name yet?

Nice work , impressive dio . All things said before have some improvements to offer. Some more weathering and also detail touches in building work. I also think that the T34 crashing the Kubel should have its front part a lil bit lift cause under it there is a bunch of hardware ..even if its so heavy compared to the kuber Physics laws say that material cannot be eliminated so ..
Good work and lots of patience and effort BRAVO
