Is it me, or do the rifles in ICM's figure sets look skinny?

I thought the same mate, definitely need some more meat on them and I hope they get the scale of the water canteens correct also as they are way too small...!

Be nice if ICM did an ACW equipment set like they did for the WW1 figures. Could easily have a dozen different muskets and rifles alone.
There was such a variety of gear used that never be sure what they're using as their examples.

nice to see some figures for the CSA, they certainly look very interesting. I agree the rifles look a little thin but perhaps there are after market replacements available somewhere?

For styrene, they look amazing. The rifle appears to be the Enfield Pattern 1853 model. I don't find the scale off appreciably. The accoutrements look fine, too. Rebs carried small canteens.

No David, this is the problem in that 1/35 ACW has been a neglected topic given way to 1/32, 54mm ACW. In saying that Masterbox and Mini Soldiers are the only ones tapping into the era so its great ICM is also on board now and as mentioned above hopefully weapons/ accoutrements sets will follow as well as cannon/ limbers in 1/35. CIV Miniatures are the only AM company that I have seen on ebay who made resin 1/35 muskets...and these are rare, hard to find. So there is a whole new market in 1/35 ACW awaiting....even resin head sets in ACW are wanting now.

As for heads, most resin manufacturers (ie; Hornet) make sets of bearded and mustachioed heads. ICM's heads certainly seem to be seperate from their hats. So it is certainly feasible to cut a resin head just above the ears and attach the plastic headgear. I'm sure many of us here do just that already.
