Well to me that's a great issue! Cold War modeller that I am perhaps but they'll be great to ring the changes as say, what I call a "background" model to some Warsaw Pact models.

I believe the Volkspolizei used these so if I can get my hands on a couple I'll be delighted.

If you mean the one below, no. That car looks like it used o be a Chevy Caprice or Impala. I'm sure there were plenty of other cars rolled over by Abrams tanks in Iraq though.

AFAIK, the main visible differences between the Lada 2101 and the Fiat 124 are the Lada badge and the "flat" door handles.

Well, those are the company's initials, but I do have to wonder why a company called 'Gun Tower' puts out civilian automobiles. Unless they are for a gun tower to practice on.

Perhaps the name of the firm is lost a bit in translation and it should read "Gun Turret" (I've often noticed that in some foreign language reviews a tank turret is referred to as a tower), that said, "Gun Tower" as a firm's name isn't that bad!

If you look on their Facebook site they have a couple of interesting figures too, or at least renditions of them.

I hope their products become accessible; as I indicated earlier I would love to convert one of their vehicles to an East German Volkspolizei version, not least as I recently discovered an excellent decal firm that provides all that I need (and also lots of other useful stuff) for such a version; see:
