GINO,
Congradulations!!! The models look great, and I'm sure they were time intensive.
It isn't so hard when you have something to start with, and your scratch/conversion skills
really make up the differance. Hope you enjoy your trip to Japan. Todd

Hey Gino,
I was in the back of that tent only admiring your work. Never put two-n-two together to see that the winner was you!
Freekin killer bro! Congrats and remember to take pics at Japan.
Dave

Great looking model. What was it that set your piece apart? Was there a specific reason you got such a huge bonus award?? I mean like a category or something?

Truthfully, I'm not really sure why mine won over others. I actually thought I would not really win anything since I do not weather mine in the typical "Tamiya Way", that is to say very heavy washes and drybrusing in successively lighter colors till you use almost a white as a final drybrushing. I weather mine subtly as I have seen actual vehicles in the field. It was entered in the 1:35 Wheeled vehicles, All Eras catagory. There were many large dios and other great looking models that were not selected. I guess Mr Tamiya just liked it since it is not something you see often. I'm not sure why it won, but I am exstatic that it did.
