Just finished my first model after getting back into modelling. It's a Tamiya 1/35th Pz. III.
I'm reasonably happy with it. I made a couple of mistakes. Over sanded the mantlet, and had to replace it with a type not seen on the Ausf. N. Spilled glue on the spare road wheels, and had to discard them.
I found the rubber tracks really tight, and were hard to get on. They don't look entirely scale.
It was weathered with oils and pigments. I'm really happy with my oil work. Not as happy with my pigment work. Sometimes I look at it and think something is missing.
Please feel free to add constructive criticism, as I'm trying to improve.
Dan.

Solid work, especially for a first. Nice airbrushing and decaling.
Now if you could get those teeth on the sprocket to settle into the track. Might require a bit of trimming.

Thanks. I had a lot of trouble getting the tracks on.

I think you did a great job on it. I always like the N version with the short barrel. Weathering looks good to me especially the dust on the tracks and roadwheels. There looks to be one road wheel that is not making contact with the track but otherwise it looks great.

Looks nice, congratulations. If you can add a white cardboard background and better lightning, photos will improve a lot.

Hey, I know your cousin, Ausf. M. He wants to know how you enjoyed that summer in Russia, 1943; he had a blast.

I think your camo finish is quite good. I may have toned mine down a bit much.

I appreciate that. Yours isn't too toned down; it's just seen a couple days of combat already and been baptised by smoke and dirt. Mine just rolled off the transport train and hasn't headed off to the front yet.

Good idea. I was wondering how to get better pictures.

Forgive me but I may be wrong but it looks like the left hand tracks are on backwards.

Excellent work for a first model and all the problems you had along the way! For a first time with an airbrush, your camo came out fantastic. Your weathering is really decent and your chipping is outstanding. Great job Dan!

Thanks for the kind comments.
I had a lot of help along the way from members of this site.
Next project is a Pz. IV with schurzen.
