I posted new and better photos of M1 engine and transmission cans as well as a gunner's primary sight (GPS) container and an M60 and M88 pack can. The Maintenance Shop
This should give you scratchbuilder's some ideas of what to load into the back of you US 5 tons, HEMTTs and deuces.

The M60, M88 and M1 tranny cans are about 5' tall, the M1 engine can is about 4.5' tall. I'll get the exact measurements within the next few days or so.

Hey... I've never seen any of those in dioramas ! There's an interesting subject.
If you can provide us with dimensions, I'd like to give that a whirl !

I don't have a FUP can (fullup pack or engine + transmission) on hand, just cans for the engine and transmission separately. Why are there separate cans for the M1 engine and transmission, I thought this is one pack.
Quoted Text
Because the transmission is larger than the engine separately. Why is the M1 transmission can larger than the engine can?
Quoted Text
Yes, for a full engine + transmission. Are the M60 an M88 cans for a complete pack?

That's one of the reasons why I posted photos, I figure modelers are sick of trying to find things to stick in the back of the pletora of modern US cargo vehicles. It would be easier to scratch build a pack can than sticking a bunch of 55 gallon drums, 5 gallon cans and various crates. Plus it would make for a more realistic load (we rarely use 55 gallon drums in field environments) and you could make a killing if you made a master for the cans and sold it to a resin manufacturer.Hey...
