I'd love to see how the bar armor looks.

But I'm also torn - it's also hard to see the actual vehicle behind the screens!

The Warrior is a British vehicle which always interests me. But it's a box on tracks! I.e. not the most interesting shape.

Finally it is a Meng model, and they always do something differently... can't wait to see what!

Well here's where the plastic hits the road.
Construction has started, and first off this looks like it is going to make one great model.

This next Pic. is something I don't ever remember seeing, Photo-Etch without any attachment point between the parts and the frame.

Finished for now.

Photoetch without attachment points has been around a long time - I remember having FotoCut (I think that was the name) PE sets 20 years ago that didn't have attachment points. It probably is more expensive, so most companies don't bother.

It's actually been around longer than that. Since the 80's. It's pretty simple. They put the brass on adhesive rubber tape - almost like electrician's tape. It's what keeps the parts in place until you need them.

A little more done.
The engine hatches have a really tight fit.

I'm gonna keep an eye on this one, is there an interior for the crew and troops, or is like the old academy kit?

No interior on this one, but there's potential to do one without the bar armor and the detailing inside the hatches is really nice.

Today I installed the wheels and worked on the Track.

Here's how the track goes together MENGs way.
You need 79 Track Shoes for each run.
I did it in 11 sections of 7 and 1 section of 2.

There's a small pin on one end you carefully clip the 7 shoes together by hand, you can't do this in the jig.

A thin strip of lo tack tape on the loose ends will keep them together until they are in the jig.

Close the jig and insert the pins.

It's very hard to press in 6 pins ai one time (rather stupid to)

It's a little tight to get them out of the jig.

My way is a lot easier, just cut the sprue holding the pins separately from the runner and install one at a time.

The jig works for joining the sections together.

I have the track painted.

I hand painted the rubber parts, as the pe. mask included in the kit doesn't work. The rubber in deeper on one side than the other.

It's best to install the track like the instructions as they don't fit over the large return roller, and must be fed in from the front or rear.

I.m working on the turret next.

quick question. Can this be built as a "slick" Warrior? with no add-on armour?

No idea about that, but I would expect from the detail on the hatches, that they have one in the works with an interior.
Just look at what they did with their Sherman.
