So, to have a length of track like the one the dude is holding will run about $200? Maybe if I already had every kit I ever wanted first and had nothing left to spend modeling money on...
A real one will cost you $135 on ebay right now, which I would rather buy.

Where exactly do you get $200 from? The basic kit is about $50 and the special edition about $100, versus $135 for one real link; of course the four the guy is holding would be $200, but four real links would be $540. Plus shipping, but I'm 99.9999% sure that shipping of the plastic Tori link will be considerably less then shipping a real one.....

4 links = 4 kits = $200
And I would rather have one REAL track as opposed to four plastic replicas. Shipping would definitely bite, but to have an actual track might be worth it.

I wonder how many jars of color do you need for one link? Two?
And what color? Is there a certified German Track Link Metallic Grey by any paint maker?
