Italeri StuG IV. Kit # 223
I have a chance to pick this up cheaply. Less than half price of normal italeri kits. Is it any good? Is OOB out of the question?
Its OOP now and I know its hardly a collectors item, but a cheap kit today might make a nice model tommorrow!
Any points or opinions on this kit would be appreciated.
The only problem with it is ... no instructions. I have tamiya panzer IVs so i should manage it. Does anybody have the instructions for this, if I do buy it?
Cheers.

Hi,

I think I've it. I'll confirm it tomorrow morning and if so I can scan the instructions for you.

Well it ain't all that bad ....It is an old italeri kit based on their Panzer IV series...it is better than the old Tamiya kit but no where near as good as the dragon kits....Does it look like a stug ..yes ...depends on what you want to build...I think it is a mixed bag of early and late components so you need to do some work to get it to be accurate...I wouldn't buy it ..but that is me ...Have fun with it .

Hi,

I confirm I've it, so if you need the instructions no problem.

I don't know how accurate it's because I haven´t references but it goes together well without problems.

As The Bear said it have a lot of mixed early and late features but with some research it's possible to make a good model.

My thoughts now are .... cheap kit. But with italeri you know you have to upgrade the tracks and probably PE, so then it ends up an expensive kit. Maybe Id be better just going for the Dragon version afterall. I´ll keep an eye on it and see if there are any bids for it. It has been posted on a swedish "e-bay" type site a few times and nobody picked it up. Now its very cheap.
Thanks José and Rick for your help and offer for scanning. Cheers lads!
