Howdy All,

Not sure if you've all seen the new question in the little 'Survey' box or not, but you should all take the time to vote in this one.
Reason? Jim is finally asking us for our opinions on whether he should take a vacation or not.
If you've already visited the result's page for the survey, you will find what I believe is the most heavily weighted results this site has ever seen towards ONE very telling answer. And that is, the vast majority of fine and dedicated members here at the big 'A' feel that our good and fearless leader Mr. Jim Starkweather should indeed, listen to his conscience (that's what made him put that 'option' there in the first place) and immediately proceed to implementing the results of said 'survey', and that thing is...............................

TAKE A BLOODY VACATION!!!!!!!!!!!

After ALL of what must be an absolutely overwhelming list of things you've done for us all here, and the equally immense list of things I'm sure you do off-site as well, I have only one thing to say to you. And that is;

You deserve a vacation!!

Anybody else think so??

Tread.

Jim, you mean to say you haven't had a vacation, even my ISP keeps saying that every person needs a vacation to stay healthy. If not for anything else, do it for your health.
I'm sure you got capible hands to handle it for you til you get back, then you will be all refreshed, and have a all new outlook on things. We much rather miss you for a couple weeks then for a long time.
It will be an inconvenience, but everybody has to understand you got a life to, so go out and enjoy yourself, so you can come back, and show us the new ideas you came up with.

Yeah Jim

You hear it, they all want you to leave. :-) :-)

No without any jokes take a vacation and get some rest. Spend time with the fam and don`t think about Armorama or the internet for a while. The staff (Editors and moderators) will keep an eye out till you are back.

Well, it's simple... If the option to take a vacation was a "joke", then Jim should continue to develop the site, but if he feels that a vacation is a serious option to consider, then by all means let him take some time off and let us staffmembers hold the fortress.

everybody needs some time off once in a while and if anyone deserved it, then it is Jim, but somehow I doubt that he was serious on this one. If he was, then give him some very well deserved R&R !

Take it when you have the chance. Im sure Gunnie or one of the more experienced editors will be capable of holding the fort while your gone. And no cheating by taking the lab-top either. Clean break is what is needed. You owe it to yourself and to your other half.
Then the refreshed Jim will come back with loads of vigour and take the reigns again and tackle those other issues.
We all slip away for weeks at a time and nobody misses us. I think you will be missed, but its all for the greater good. have a nice one!

My 2 cents,,,,,after talking to Jim at Tamiyacon this past weekend, before he goes on vacation, he needs to build a model, a webmaster who has not built a model in over a month,,,???? Unheard of. !!!!!!!!!! Get back to modeling...wait......um.....go on your vacation and build models. OK....he can go now. lol.

Jim, Jim, Jim..............
Pull some of the models out of storage or buy a new kit and sit down and build it, paint it, take pictures of it. And when you're all finished, completely....post the pictures back here.
I knew we should have tried to get you drunk in Sherman Oaks.

LOL!! Thanks Tread and assorted conspirators. I will indeed be taking a 4 day vacation late this month to go down to San Diego for my daughters 4th birthday. Not a long one by any means. I actually put the vacation option in there as a joke, but it could have been subconcious as well.

Charles - Drunk? hehe...well then I would have had to sleep over at Rhodes' house because my car was there.

Cheers,
Jim

There's enough good people on site to keep things ship shape while you are away...so go!
