Well i have'nt been visiting this site much lately, mainly because holidays are over and school has started again, but also because ive been hard at it building the centerpiece for my new dio, which i dont think i have spoken a word of until now
so here i go, this is what i have been working on.......As you may or may not know i picked up Revell's 1/32 UH-1H Gunship at this years model expo, well i decided to convert it to the true blue aussie "bushranger" gunship, used in vietnam (and still sued today)
when i went to look for an update kit for it, there were none, so, my first cratch building job began, i have totally scratch built the rocket pods, the arms that hold the miniguns and rocket pods, and the twin M-60's,a dn also detailed the interior alot more than it is made to be. Thinking about making a Feature or article on how i did it for those of you interested, so Danny if ya reading this, what do you think?
Anyway this will be the centerpiece of my latest dio, it will show my bushranger flying over an Aussie Centurion tank and troops on patrol outside near Nui Dat, and should be a reall looker when finished!
i have some pics of the Bushranger in various stages (i think i do anyway, but i know i have pics of it s it is now, finished)
anyway i am not gaim to go out and spend $60 on a bloody update set just to make the Centurion into an aussie version, i mean thats double what i paid for the whole kit in the first place, so, this will be my second scratch building job, which i have started just this afternoon.
