This batch of tanks was delivered in August, 1944, so it will require a coat of Zimmerit, of you want to depict a tank from the Army 506th Battalion during the Ardennes Offensive. The new tracks were issued as a test, and were approved for service, but stocks of the old track had to be used up first, so this track did not reappear until March. 1945, just before the factory shut down. These final tanks did not have Zimmerit.

Hi All, more advances with the King Tiger, steps 6 to eleven, with yours comments I have decide to change the Unit of the model, It will be the Tiger II, PzAbt. 511, in may of 1945, the pics:
I found this pic, of that tank, and in the osprey book (KONIGSTIGER) has a draw too, that I can use like a reference...
Regards, Omar

If you do an end of the war vehicle, you can delete the the jack, the jack mount and the jack block from the tail plate, as they were discontinued (a jack rated at 20 tons is of limited use on a 71.7 ton vehicle). The small vent lines for the fuel tanks that start at the top deck and bend over the side plates can be added from fine wire. And the front fenders usually had small reinforcement ribs (visible in the photo you posted). The machine gun ring on the cupola was sometimes replaced by a simple post for mounting a swiveling machine gun mount. Some tanks only received narrow transportation tracks, as there were shortages of battle track in the chaotic final weeks (the Allies were about to cut the factory off inside the Ruhr Pocket). A tank with all these features can be built using the Academy kit.

Thanks guys for the data, from Argentina, if one does not search the web, or see a specific book, it is quite difficult to see the historical detail of each unit or vehicle. It is a pity that the kit does not reflect the history of the vehicle with the markings it brings, that it comes out of the 511, with some modeling permits, let's see how it ends ...
There is the new, as for the finish of the frame:

Hi Marc, it is an interesting variant that you propose to me, but I saw it after painting it, I think that the variant I made is quite similar to the camouflage scheme of the Pz. Abt. 511, I show you how it looks, the airbrush painting stage and everything corresponding to the brush stage, are the advances:
Now it's the stage of lights, shadows and wear, as if to have the KingTiger ready ...
Cheers
