I did not even know that Academy made an M48A3.. but there is one for auction on Ebay. Is this a bad Tamiya copy or a good one??
Thanks for the help.

The Academy M48A3 (kit #1310) is an older kit from when Academy made poor but direct copies of Tamiya kits. Avoid it unless you can snag it for less than $5. I've been tracking Tamiya Pattons on eBay and some go for as little as $10 + s/h, most run about $15 + s/h.

May I make a suggestion don't forget about the M-48A5 from academy it is a nice kit with them little rubber wheels that you add latter after painting. And the only M-48A5 on the market. So you can make the korean version with side skirts.

From earlier discussions with him, he already has the Academy A5, he's trying to round out his Patton series.
