I've read that when Cobra King was up-gunned to 76mm cannon that the coaxial mg was up-gunned from a m1919 .30 cal to a .50 cal mg. Was this a standard barreled M2 ? How much of the Coax MG extended from the mantlet? I couldn't find any actual photos. Last question, was this done with all up-gunned (76mm) Jumbos?
TIA,
Jeff

Only certain units did this, for example, 37th tank which CK was in.
I’d recommend that you google Jumbos and start looking closely at the mantlet to see how far the barrel stick out and if it’s a HB or not as off hand I’m not sure.

The fifties used to upgrade Jumbos were aircraft guns with perforated jackets. The Academy US machine gun set includes one.

There's a photo of one about halfway down the page, next to an M4A3E8.
