Any thoughts on what the interior color for the drivers, commanders, etc, hatches would be on WW2 Soviet tanks? Would it be the interior white or the exterior color? I've seen pics of pre-war tanks with definite white hatch interiors, but it seems that wartime ones were exterior color. (I'm about to paint a T-34/76 Mod42.) Bal'shoe Spasiba! Bill G

Frontovik, as far as I know, WWII Soviet tanks were painted white inside, check out this site http://www.thetankmaster.com/ENGLISH/AFV/T34-85_1r.asp

Should be the same color as the exterior. As you guessed it, white hatch would be a huge target and stick out like a soar tumb.

Paul, look at this photo from the site you posted. Look up into the hatch and you will see a green hatch overhead.
