Hi guys

I got a minor problem. I started building Tamiya's Ford G.P.W for the Overlord campaign. The problem is I can't find anything proving this vehicle was used on D-Day. I'm almost sure it was, but if anyone could point me to a pic on how my little DUKW would have appeared on that day it would be a big help.

Thanks
Wolfsix

Sorry wolf6, but i don't think GPA was used on D day.

However, if the GPW is the little jeep;
"Jeeps could be loaded into transport aircraft for rapid deployment and were also small enough to fit into the large gliders used in the D-day invasion of Europe"

I am not sure if you meant a GPA or a GPW...
so i hope this is of help

I have to agree - I don't think it was used on D-Day. Not quite the tool they wanted
Check this link out - especially the last paragraph

Hi guys

First of all I want to thank you guys for getting back to me so quick. Colt, that was a GPA. Sorry about that. Thats what I get for writing before coffee. { I knew that was a bad idea} Thanks for the web sites even if I can't use the GPA in the Overlord Campaign Those articles will be a big help detailing the jeep. Oh well I guess I'll hit the books again to come upm with an idea for the campaign

Thanks guys
Wolfsix
